空间与自然的对话:东南庭院的设计是项目的精髓之一。三棵幸存的树木被精心保留,通过全高幕墙,室内外空间实现了无缝交流。建筑的东立面采用镜面设计,进一步模糊了建筑与自然的边界,使自然景观成为建筑的一部分。这种设计策略不仅强调了自然之美,还通过季节变化赋予建筑动态的生命力,使建筑与自然环境相得益彰。
几何与体验的创新:双曲山墙屋顶的设计为建筑增添了独特的几何美感。屋顶的屋脊不沿中心延伸,而是通过连接斜屋顶平面上的两个顶点,创造出三维双曲线的形态。这种创新的几何处理不仅提升了建筑的视觉吸引力,还为游客提供了丰富的空间体验。从入口到内部,建筑通过路径设计控制游客的节奏,使其在进入室内前充分感受建筑的曲线之美,这种整体体验设计体现了建筑与自然和谐共生的理念。

Text description provided by the architects. Tan-Mok-Won is located on the site of a 2013 fire in Ulsan, South Korea. Such history defines the site's locality, but memories of the past are disappearing. In this project, the architecture expresses the forgotten memories of the past as a building so that the memories are not forgotten entirely but preserved.

该项目的客户在现场被毁的土地上用红丝带标记了大约10棵幸存下来的树木。第一眼看到这样的风景,设计团队决定用烧焦的木头来表达这座建筑,灵感来自对火灾和幸存的烧焦树木的痛苦记忆。建筑不是主角,而是自然、土地,尤其是受保护的树木。因此,建筑的布局符合场地的轮廓线,最大限度地减少了土木工程,成为现有自然的一部分。
The client of this project took care of about 10 trees that had survived the fire by marking them with a red ribbon on the devastated land of the site. At first glance of such scenery, the design team decided to express the building with charred wood inspired by the painful memory of the fire and the surviving charred trees. The building is not the main character, but nature, the land, and especially the protected trees. Therefore, the layout of the building conforms to the site's contour lines, minimizing civil engineering and becoming part of the existing nature.

In particular, the southeastern courtyard, where three of the ten protected trees remain, creates a cut-out space where interior space and exterior nature communicate through the full-height curtain wall. The east facade of the building is a mirrored surface on which nature finally overwhelms the architecture. Such design strategy again emphasizes that this project is not about celebrating architecture but the beauty of nature that changes with the seasons.

双曲山墙屋顶进一步发展了建筑的几何形状。屋顶的屋脊不沿着建筑物的中心延伸。相反,一条中心线连接了斜屋顶平面上的两个顶点,将建筑的曲线美升华为三维双曲线。
A doubly curved gable roof further develops the building's geometry. The roof's ridge does not run along the center of the building. Instead, a center line connects the two vertices on the diagonal roof plane, sublimating the building's curved beauty into a three-dimensional double curve.

第一眼和进入顺序提供了一种整体体验,从中可以见证建筑与周围自然之间的和谐。建筑物前的入口和水控制着人们接近建筑物的速度。如果你沿着入口道路转弯一两次,你的运动速度将不可避免地降低,而不是简单地穿过水域。与此同时,你的视野会发生变化,让你从不同的角度观察建筑。通过这条入口路线,游客在进入室内空间之前,可以充分欣赏到建筑曲线的各种雕塑之美。
The first glance and entry sequence provides a holistic experience from which one can witness the harmony between the building and the surrounding nature. The entryway and water in front of the building control the speed at which people approach the building. Rather than simply crossing the water space, if you turn one or two times along the entrance road, your movement speed will inevitably decrease. At the same time, your field of vision will change, allowing you to view the building from various angles. Through this entrance route, visitors can fully appreciate the various sculptural beauty of the building's curves before they enter the interior space.

进入主入口,看着建筑的西端,暴露的屋顶结构有节奏地表达了上述建筑的弯曲形状。当你到达西部尽头时,游客会遇到一个完全被烧焦的木头覆盖的户外露台。这个露台是您最好欣赏烧焦木材质地的地方,也是您可以通过建筑缝隙欣赏大自然的外部空间。
Entering the main entrance and looking at the western end of the building, the exposed roof structure rhythmically expresses the curved shape of the building described above. When you reach the end of the west, visitors will encounter an outdoor terrace fully covered with charred wood. This terrace is where you can best appreciate the texture of charred wood and an external space where you can enjoy nature seen through the gaps in the building.

Tan Mok Won是韩国第一座由烧焦的木材组成的建筑,面积超过800平方米。它的建筑满足了所有五种感官,考虑到烧焦的木材、水空间和自然声音提供的触觉、视觉和嗅觉刺激,以及内部面包店的味道。
Tan-Mok-Won is the first building in Korea to be composed of charred wood and to measure over 800 square meters. Its architecture satisfies all five senses, considering the tactile, visual, and olfactory stimulations provided by charred wood, water space, and sounds of nature, as well as the taste that can be pleased with the bakery inside.
