这是由艾未未设计的加拿大多伦多3144辆永久牌自行车安装展。该项目于2011年在台北精美艺术博物馆首次亮相。该设计利用3144亮永久牌自行车，利钢架，组成一个三维结构，为多伦多nathan phillips广场塑造出令人震撼的视觉效果。该作品采用中国最常见的自行车品牌——永久，艾未未重建两轮运转，利用抽象和象征的手法，营造出一座巨大的迷宫，充满未来的迷幻色彩。该作品比喻了全球不断不安化的社会环境。在今年年初，艾未未还利用760辆自行车，创造过作品“very yao”。

october 6th to october 27th, 2013 scotiabank’s nuit blanche has presented a re-interpretation of ai weiwei‘s ‘forever bicycles’ exhibition, which originally debuted at the taipei fine arts museum in 2011. this time, 3,144 interconnected bicycles have formed a three-dimensional structure in toronto’s nathan phillips square, creating a euphoric visual effect of colorful illumination at night. the sculpture has been constructed using frames from yong jiu – literally translated as ‘forever’ – china’s most common bicycle brand. reconstructing the two-wheeled transporter using abstraction and symbolism, ai weiwei creates a colossal labyrinth-like, moving space, which metaphorically represents the changing social environment in china and around the globe. earlier this year, ai weiwei also exhibited ‘stacked’ at galeria continua, which comprised of 760 piled-up bicycles – a continuation of his work from 2008 entitled ‘very yao’.
